Enjoy a celebration of Irish seasonal food and culture with food demos and tastings. Expect also some of your family favorites to look forward to including our Annual Halloween Trail, childrens natural and traditional craft making demonstrations, Halloween swap shop, music and more.
With Food demo from Kathrina of 'Scrummy TV', speakers Jack O Sullivan of 'Zero Waste Alliance Ireland', and Historian and author Joe Mc Gowan.
- 12-2pm: A Taste of Halloween of old. Kathrina of 'Scrummy TV' will host a live demonstration as she cooks up a storm of traditional halloween recipes, colcannon, barmbrack and boxty. Enjoy tastings as she goes and recipes. Book here as spaces limited for this free demo.
- 2-3pm ' Food and Package waste: The scary side of Halloween! with Jack O Sullivan, Environmental consultant of Zero Waste Alliance Ireland.
- 3-4pm. ‘From Samhain to Halloween: Food, Folklore and Forgotten Customs’ with historian Joe Mc Gowan.
